Goals

The University of the Witwatersrand Fund, Inc (Wits Fund, Inc) is dedicated to maintaining Wits as a great University by sustaining globally competitive standards of excellence in learning, teaching, and research. Wits Fund Inc identifies and selects causes and purposes at Wits that Wits Fund Inc will support, and seek supporters and donors, in the USA. The Wits Fund, Inc, supports, among others, health care, The Mandela Institute, scholarships, the Wits Art Galleries and the Wits Library.


Mission

"To maintain this great University as a national asset, and an intellectual leader in the country, on the continent and around the world, Wits must continue to maintain its high standards in teaching, research and knowledge production. All who had the honor and opportunity to participate in this University's high quality education must continue to maintain close links with Wits. In this way we will all preserve Wits as an inclusive, engaged, vibrant, and diverse community with a global reputation for excellence".
